The problem with a lot of shared hosting environments is that encrypted connections for administration purposes are difficult to achieve, this leaves authentication tokens being transmitted in clear text to and from the server. What I propose here is an authentication method that uses a database of passwords that is indexed by time, so that depending on what time it is, depends on what the password is that will authenticate the user.
