mail-notification not secure at all
Hi all,
the mail-notification applet wish can be used with gnome is a disaster . this applet allow the user to get notification whenever he get a mail from many mails account can be set , but the *BIG* problem is that this applet store the passwords in a non encrypted files . interested
~/.gnome2/mail-notification/mailboxes.xml
<mailbox type="gmail" username="*******" password="*******"/>
as you see is a normal xml file wish shows clearly the password !!!!!Linux is not only an operating system, it's a philosophy.

Author does not view it as a bug https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?fu...&item_id=18893 so it isn't going to get "fixed".

Yes it's not a bug, it's a missing feature , well Linux should be always secure, gnome-keyring can be used in this !
Linux is not only an operating system, it's a philosophy.
