Hey, I saw this documentation site about irssi and saw that you were able to get a little bar that showed which channels you had joined. I looked through /set and found nothing that seemed to be the right. Can anybody help?

Yep, I was looking for that too. The default "Act" notification in irssi leaves some things to be desired if you use more than just a few channels and have more than just a few queries.
Have a look at this guide from the same person.
