    Unhappy kopete oddity

I've looked around but could not find anything like this.

I had been using gaim, but needed a change so i tried kopete.
I set it up, added all my contacts, and noticed that it said they all were either offline or it didn't say anything about them.
Wondering if they actually were offline, i started gaim also. gaim showed a reasonable amount of people online in various states, then kopete showed a few online.
The strange part is that who gaim says is online is not the same as who kopete says is on. (all my contacts are on AIM).

    any thoughts?

I've had that same problem before as well. Don't know what caused it or what fixed it but it just worked again months after I stopped using it. I, however, amd much happier with Pidgin (Gaim's new name and look)
