    xine blips when playing music

    Bumping this for answers because xine is being a bit gay.

    I've got a problem with xine, it blips when I'm playing music, it seems to be with any xine programs because it happens in amarok, keffine and even xine-ui. In mplayer it works fine though. Could anybody offer any advice or something?

    Try different audio drivers in the xine settings. Youre going to have to increase the skill level option from beginner to something higher if you haven't already. On AC'97-based laptops i find i get weird things happening with the ALSA driver, so i use OSS if its messing up. Thats all i got...
