    Have you tried alltray. Its available in sources.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    i mean something like kiba-dock, avant-window-navigator, etc.

    It really doesn't depend on the distribution you're using but rather the Desktop Environment or Window Manager.

    For Gnome, there's Avant, gDesklets' StarterBar, Gnome Dock and Akamaru. For KDE, there's KDocker, KXDocker, KoolDock and KSmoothDock.
