    I found rTorrent, and it is doing the job but I want something that can run in the background. I want to be able to just type a line, and it just start downloading/sharing the torrents.

    With some kind of configuration file to adjust the speed caps, and other various settings.

    I don't know if any of these will serve your needs, but here are a few choices:
