The one bit of software I miss from Windows.

I really do miss one piece of software. It is this one. Linky.

Is there anything like it available for Linux (KDE)?

    How about something like Quanta?

    Quanta Plus Home

It is an extra part of KDE.

    Cool links!

I'm trying Komodo Edit, but it doesn't really match up. I'll also give Quanta a go
and then I guess it's time to become a wino!

I'm going to give them a fair shot. First impressions are not always right.

I have an update on the app situation....

    I have tried various editors.

    Komodo IDE (trial version).
This is not bad software but I don't think it is worth spending $299 on.
Maybe if I hadn't been spoilt with Webcoder for $79

    Komodo Edit
Again it is not bad, I am starting to get used to it. This seems to be
the same editor as above but without all the gizmos that have been
added on. This is one of the editors still in with a chance of winning
    my heart

    Quanta Plus.
I tried really hard to like this. But didn't

    Bluefish.
This is the other editor that is still in the race. I haven't found any print
functionality which is a strange and annoying ommission. But apart from
    that I like it.

I keep skipping between the two in the hopes I can make up my mind!!
