xserver wont boot
OK, first so you all know, this is being installed on a 122Mhz 90mb ram 1.1Gb HD now that we all know that, when i boot up mandrake 10.0, i get to the login screen just fine. I login as root. then when i type
i get the following errorCode:startx
I didi type this error by hand, so any questions about that are fine, im guessing it has something to do with the install of xserver i tried re installing the xfree86 libraries and the xfree86-server packages, but to no avail. any and all help is apreciated. Just so everyone knows, i plan on runnign the server monitoring software nagois on this, and it did run windows 95, os it should be able to handle graphical shizzle, in the least, does anyone know where the xserver config file is?Code:useing authority file /root/ .xauthority writing authority file /root/ .xauthority useing authority file /root/ .xauthority writing authority file /root/ .xauthority execve failed for /etc/x11/x/ (errno 13) giving up. xint: no such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server xint: no such process (errno 3): Server error
