    Can not connect to Google

I have been having a problem recently that I can not connect to Google on my laptop. Google.com, gmail.com, nothing. I have tried firefox and epiphany web browsers. It is not my internet connection as I can access it on another computer. I am running XUbuntu 7.10, recently upgraded, (the problem started just after this).
