I am having problems using 2 serial ports with vmware. I have vmware installed on a Linux (Centos 5) host machine. I then have 2 Windows 2000 Professional installs on the vmwares. The 2 Serial Ports are picked up on the Linux box as ttys1 and ttys2. I put these into the vmware configuration on each box so guest one has ttys1 and the second guest has ttys2. I can boot up guest one with ttys1 but when I boot the second it shows the vmware logo with options for bios etc then stop and goes back to the grey interface to power up the machine again. Can anyone give me a explanation to why it is doing this?
