Ok, i am a super noob and I'm having problems...I just installed SuSE 9.1 on my second hard drive and I am in the first few hours of setting it up. I have Firefox on my Windows XP drive and I love it so I'm hoping to get it installed on my Linux drive too.

..I'm logged in as root (I think) and this is what I am trying and getting as a result...any ideas why? I get the same thing when I try ./firefox-installer-bin and as per another thread I downloaded the file again just in case the first one was twigged somehow...

    linux:/home/Chance/Desktop/firefox-installer # ./firefox-installer
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
    Xlib: No protocol specified

    (firefox-installer-bin:5268): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

Ok, I copied the file over to /tmp/ opened up a Root Console and logged in...

    linux:/data1/tmp # cd /data1/tmp/firefox-installer/
    linux:/data1/tmp/firefox-installer # ls
    . config.ini firefox-installer-bin install.ini watermark.xpm
    .. firefox-installer header.xpm license.txt xpi
    linux:/data1/tmp/firefox-installer # ./firefox-installer
bash: ./firefox-installer: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied
    linux:/data1/tmp/firefox-installer # ./firefox-installer-bin
    bash: ./firefox-installer-bin: Permission denied
    linux:/data1/tmp/firefox-installer #

I entered my password and I'm the only user on the sytem...if I don't have permission, who does?
