    V I Editor

    Hi,

Please help me out with V I editor in Linux Zenwalk. I was told about VI editor by my college faculty. I don't know anything about it. Is it third party tool or what? How to obtain and install it? I'm forced to use Zenwalk distro as I've a weaker hardware, so please help me out in this regard.

    Thanks.

I'd be very surprised if vi or vim aren't already included with Zenwalk.

If they aren't try to find a Zenwalk package in the Zenwalk repo for whichever one you want and install that. Vim is an enhanced version of vi. If you already have vim, run vimtutor from a command line to learn the basics of using it.

For vi, try looking over the vitutor, or vilearn tutorials. You can get info on them on the web.

Have fun with vi/vim and Linux!
