thunderbird with google calendar

I wanted to know if someone could tell me how to get entries that I enter in thunderbird to show up in my google calendar. I have been able to set it up so that I see my calendar in thunderbird (including if I update it in calendar.google.com it will immediately show up in thunderbird calendar add on) but for some reason when I add an entry in thunderbird it doesn't show up in my actual google calendar. Thanks all

There is an addon called "Provider for Google Calendar" that will allow connection to Google's Calendar so entries made at either end (google/tb) will show up in both
