Hi all,

I'm running a Molecular Dynamics appln, 'CPMD' on a 2 node cluster(Each node has dual core dual opteron processor). It is a CPU intensive and a very memory intensive program.

The cluster is installed with Rocks 4.2.1, Cent OS 4.4.

The CPMD job timings as shown in 'top' command are as follows:

-- Output 1

The job was running since from 3 hours. But the TIME parameter shows only 46 mins.

But with other apps, the top shows almost similar time compared to wall clock time.

And also, kswapd0 and kswapd1 are also running indicating Memory swap.

Can any one tell me what the top TIME is concerned about?
