    Problem while installing MATLAB

    I seem to have a problem in running matlab rather than installing if i am right.
    I did the installation work and when i give the command matlab the application opens a applet kind of thing and then quickly shuts down.
    I get an error on the console that goes like

    MATLAB: xcb_xlib.c:52: xcb_xlib_unlock: Assertion `c->xlib.lock' failed.
    Aborted


    Any one who can help.

    Must be a permission issue. Try MATLAB support or their forums, you are likely to find the answer there.
    I've installed MATLAB but haven't used it as such.
