    animated gifs in gaim

    I have this awesome animated gif that i want as my buddy icon, I made it square and as big as other peoples animated gifs. But my gif doesn't animate and it looks kind of lame unanimated.

    I know that if gaim doesn't like a gif it will convert it into a png, but i've been trying to make it compatible.

    Any suggestions? or does gaim just not like animations
