Do you know of an easy-to-install/use, street map database?
If so, can you send it to me (or direct me to a download location)? Thanks. Basically I'm looking for a database that would allow for determining the (gps or other) coordinates and distance between any two addresses on a city street.
Thanks.
I'm running linux Fedora Core 1 on a dell inspiron 5100, in case that's relevant.

I think you can do that with either of these:

Let me know if you can get Roadmap to configure, make, install. I couldn't get it, and instead used the precompiled binaries.

Jeremy, where does the map file go. I am using Debian. I put the map files in /long-prefix/roadmap/src and in /long-prefix.roadmap/src/gtk2. When I run ./long-prefix/roadmap/src/gtk2/gtroadmap I get "no map available". javascript:emoticon('

Any step-by-step instructions you could give on how to install RoadMap would be very much appreciated.javascript:emoticon('
