Configuring Evolution
Hi Guys,
I want to configure Evolution for my Gmail account. I need to use it for SMTP but the my Evolution setup has no option for SMTP.
The reference site I'm using Configure GMail in Evolution, Thunderbird or KMail -- Debian Admin displays the configuration in SMTP.
What should I do so that I can get the SMTP option in Evolution. I am using Fedora 9. The Kmail also doesn't have SMTP option in it.

Are you setting up the inward or outward section? SMTP will only appear on the outgoing mail configuration, you should use POP3 or IMAP for Receiving mail option which will come up first.

Both Kmail and Evolution work fine with SMTP and as BigTom has metioned already, SMTP is for outgoing Email only. Choose POP3 or IMAP for incoming Email.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
