    Gaim for AIM. Occasionally Gaim for Yahoo, though it's notoriously buggy.

    I don't usually use chat I use SKYPE. If you know what it is you'll probably use it too. If you don't check it out. It's saved me a fortune with my wife chatting to her family in Colombia

    i use kopete because my stupid pc wont work with gaim :S when i click it it starts loading then sorta stops

    (i use it for msn)

    I use Gaim..I especially like the option to display old chat sessions when a buddy messages you..I'm offline so much that it helps me remember who's screenname was whose without embarassing myself by asking

    Not sure which it is, still kinda new to linux, but the messenging client installed with fc2!, connects to my aim and I think to im as well, all the accounts are so confused,

    FC2 comes with Gaim, if I'm not mistaken. The icon in your menubar just says "Instant Messenger" though. I think that's left over from Redhat 9, when Redhat tried to "simplify" (i.e. make everything generic) the desktop with their Bluecurve theme.

    I found Yahoo's native app under linux buggy for me.

    Now I use GAIM for MSN and Yahoo.
    Though it rarely get used.

    I use Yahoo IM at work for work matter of factly on XP.
