Poll: What instant messenger do YOU use?

Hey folks.

Well, this should be a poll, however I've no idea of all the apps possible, so it'll be a posting poll!

So yeah, what do you use?


When I was in Windows, I always used Gaim. Mainly because of tabbed chats & IMs, also it had GTKSpell, and various other nice things. It also was fast, and looked nice.

Just downloaded, and compiled it. Everything works, but I need to compile some SSL thing to get MSN working. Currently deciding whether to do it, upgrade Kopete or get something else.

So, what do YOU use?

I dont use any. The closest I get to live chat is IRC. Generally I find instant chat applications too distracting when im trying to work.

Gaim connected to AIM and rarely MSN and Y!

i use both yahoo messanger and aim for linux!

i actually almost never use any, but when i do it is dMSN
i've only used it on windows, but is should work on linux as well (i've been told)
and the only reason i use it is when my collegues need to get in touch with me, they use msn...

Gaim + ICQ here. But I use it rarely.

I use gaim connecting to AIM + ICQ and jabber...trying to convert everyone to jabber, though it is hard.

Switch to jabber! It's open!

I'm using Kadu - linux version of the most popular IM network in Poland.

I rarely use any kind of messenger or chat app. But, when I do, I'm not that pickey. Kopete or GAIM for IM and X-Chat for IRC.
