I installed MDK 10 over a MDK 9.1 distro and the first thing I noticed was how slow everything was. I did a few hardware checks and all seemed okay, except from the programs loading time.
I was please though that the problems I had with shutting down and rebooting MDK 9.1 were not existant. But in the end I got fed up with mozilla taking 4 min to open a web page and Konquerer taking 2 min just to open home dir. So I reinstalled MDK 9.1.
I just want to know why MDK 10 is so much slower than MDK 9.1? I am using an Cyrix 686 CPU on this box.
