help needed with kopete

Greetings,
I have just updated my distro from opensuse 10.3 to 11 and therefore to KDE4 from 3,
how ever i am having this sort of weird bug with kopete, as it is failing to render buddy icons most of the time.
weird thing is it does draw a few icons but most of the time it just draws a blank square.
i am guessing it might have to do with an external library of sorts but i have no clue where or what to do and i can find no other mentions of such an error happening around the net...
any help appriciated..

Have you tried reinstalling it already ??

Might be a little bug somewhere, just remove it and make sure you remove all the config folder located probably somewhere at ~/.kopete. After that try installing again.
