Hi all, I recently installed awn (avant-window-navigator)

when I rebooted, I no longer see the desktop... all I get is a gnome terminal.

I have tried startx as default and super an receive the following message:

Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0

If I try to VNC into the server I still can only see the gnome terminal with know menu's or system.

If I try to start using startx I get:

fatal server error:

Server is already active for display 0

then an Xinit message saying
Xlib: invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 Key giving up
Xinit: unable to connect to server x
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error

Any ideas?
