    DVD image of a partition

    Hi people!

    That's my first post in linuxforums.

    Imagine I have a partition with the ext2 filesystem. I want to burn a DVD which must have included the image of the whole partition. So I'll be able to boot from that DVD for recovery reasons.

    What application do you recommend me to get it?

    Hi and Welcome !

    I would suggest PartImage. It creates bootable .iso image which you can burn on CD/DVD. PartImage is available in PartedMagic LiveCD. Download it from here.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
