This page lets you download a file that has lots of codecs, including Divx.

    http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/codecs.html

    Then:

    1. Open an Administrator [root] console.

    2. cd /usr/lib

    3. mkdir win32

    4. Download the "essential" package from the link above (for Mozilla, ensure the file name to save ends with "tar.bz2" and not "tar.bz2.tar").

    5. Move the downloaded file to /usr/lib/win32

    6. cd /usr/lib/win32

    7. tar xvfj essential-20040809.tar

    8. mv essential-20040809/* .

    9. rm -r essential-20040809

    10. rm *.bz2

*thanks to Arne Anka of Xandros Forums for the step by step

    Excellent

Perhaps this should be in the tutorials section? I sure do see a lot of questions about this.
