How can I configure Xine to play Divx movies. When installed Divx Coedecs (from rpm) No errores occured yet I have not able to play any DivX movies....

    How can I configure Xine to play Divx movies. When installed Divx Coedecs (from rpm) No errores occured yet I have not able to play any DivX movies.

    This page lets you download a file that has lots of codecs, including Divx.

    Then:

    1. Open an Administrator [root] console.

    2. cd /usr/lib

    3. mkdir win32

    4. Download the "essential" package from the link above (for Mozilla, ensure the file name to save ends with "tar.bz2" and not "tar.bz2.tar").

    5. Move the downloaded file to /usr/lib/win32

    6. cd /usr/lib/win32

    7. tar xvfj essential-20040809.tar

    8. mv essential-20040809/* .

    9. rm -r essential-20040809

    10. rm *.bz2

    I just used MPlayer and installed all the codecs to /usr/share/codecs
    and I can play DivX/XviD just fine

    im using suse 9.1 pro and in gnome my mplayer doesnt work.i reinstalled several times but again same. i start mplayer and make open but it starts to connect to my dvd rom drive and doesnt open anything only waits (stucks) like this. in kde it work perfect no problems. How can i solve this problem?

    I download the all the win32dll codecs and installed them. I also installed MPlayer. Now Quicktime movies and DivX movies plays but there is a problem with qdesign sound filles. Well the sound is missing! I can't hear anything!!

    Quick time movies without sound

    While playing a .mov file THIS is what i got. It might help!!
