I totally agree - Mplayer is much better
don't forget to enable your dma and have your video card drivers installed

also, ogle is a fine choice but as said, mplayer is a good competitor

thanks for the help but i use mandrake 9.0 will it still work with mandrake rather than red hat or do i HAVE to use red hat...

yeah, I installed Mplayer on mdk 9.0 myself using the source and it worked perfectly.
