    RedHat 9 rpms problem

    I downloaded Ximian XD2 and also Ximian Evolution in rpms for redhat 9...i login as root and try to install....the dialogue box comes up and goes through the stuff but then it never asks me if i want to install and then do it.....nothing gets installed how can i correct this

    i assume this means that you are trying to install it graphically? (i.e. double-clicking on the rpm file?) you can always open a root shell and do
    Code:
    rpm -i /path/to/package.rpm
    -lakerdonald
