    Gaim

    For some reason Gaim will connect for a while, then stop, not disconnect, but no longer send or recieve IM's and Info queries made do not result in responses, if I close it, and log back on, it connects fine again. Any ideas on why this may be happening and possible solutions?

    open it in a shell with the -d flag and keep an eye on it. The -d flag enables debug output to STDOUT, and may lead you to whats happeneing when it dies like that
