IOzone filesystem benchmark
Hi all,
as you may know, IOzone is a benchmark for measuring file system performance (although it`s not just for working under linux, but I`m using it under linux OS-FC8 )
I could successfully run this benchmark on my system and it gave some results about my system`s current file system`s performance....
but the question is that:
----------------------------------
how can I use it for comparing different file systems?
-----------------------------------
more simply, my question is that:
I could measure I/O rate of my systems current filesystem...
how can I know what is my current filesystem (ext2, ext3,...)???
how I can change my current filesystem??
or I may need to install new os to have another filesystem type ....can I select filesystem`s type when installing linux? how?
thanks
