What is the best ghosting type program for Ubuntu? I want to just copy my whole hard drive right now to be sure that I don't do the stupid things I did over the past few days
sudo rm -R /home/user (but in my defense the capitals were different for my own folder, I don't know how ubuntu saw "user" as the same as "User" and thus deleted everything I had)Bodhi 1.3 & Bodhi 1.4 using E17

Don't know if it is the best as I haven't used others but, clonezilla worked fine for me.

The "best" changes from one user to the next, but Ghost4Linux and Clonezilla are popular. I've always thought I'd like Mondo, but haven't gotten around to trying it yet.oz

You could run a live CD to make an image of your harddrive: Acronis True Image.
