Help to get around this makefile error

Please forgive me if this is not the place to post the query....

My problem starts when i use the make command....it shows up an error

make: ../../tools/make-empty-symbols: Command not found
make: *** [symbols.c] Error 127

im including the make-empty-symbols...

i warmed up my brain and found out that this make-empty-symbols file is being called by Makefile.native file..(also attached)....

can even one shed some light on this...im not so familiar with linux..but now have started working with it....
