I tried the repair function and allso removing/adding it back agian but still no ...

When i try to open OpenOffice word processor it just hang on the blue "splah screen"

well what kind of box are you running? open-office is pretty demanding resource-wise

I'm sorry, i forgot to mention that i worked perfect yesterday.
System :
AMD 2500
256 MB ram
Dont think there is a problem resource-wise?

how fast is that processor? i forget? though it sounds like you have plenty of RAM

Do you mean when i run office from a Terminal? (newbie)
If i do that it just open the same spash screen and hang agian.

Firstly, thanks for the "pointer"
When i try to run cupsdconf get the following popup "Unable to retrieve configuration file from the CUPS server. You probably dont have the access permission to perform this operation"
I did try this as root.
