please help me. I Have followed the steps exactly the one you posted here but I couldn't get the desktop. I got the desktop but its in grey color and i couldn't see anything on desktop. I ma using GNOME

I have one doubt. I have got the xstartup file in the given below location.

/root/.vnc/xstartup

How do I copy the below lines. I mean what does the meaninig of $HOME, should i copy the below script as it is or Do I have to make changes. according the above file in the given below

xsetroot -solid grey
xterm -geometry 80x24+10+10 -ls -title "$VNCDESKTOP Desktop" &
twm &
