    Question Freevo, EPGs and Canada

    Hello all,

I'm dying to format my Windows PC and finally switch all of the computers in my house over to Ubuntu. One thing that is holding me back is Windows Media Centre. I currently use my PC as a DVR and use MCE to do it. I've looked into the Linux alternatives and found several that look good, especially Freevo.

The EPG is probably the most important part of a DVR, in my opinion. The problem is that I live in Canada and cannot find a source for the EPG other than Schedules Direct, but alas, I am cheap and cannot bring myself to spend $20 for that data.

Does anyone know of a source for the EPG data or a way to scrape it? If you do, thank you very much!

    Regards,

    Scott

The two scrapers that I am aware of are zap2xml and mc2xml.

    zap2xml
    mc2xml

I don't think mc2xml has digital channel listings.
