What version of K3b are you using, minthaka?
I ask because I was thinking the version for KDE4 hasn't been released yet. Could be wrong, though.oz

If I was being serious, I would wonder what the media was rated for; some media is slower than others

Here's something about KDE4 and K3b from The Official Mandriva Blog, but I don't know if they ever actually got it working correctly, or not:

It's still an alpha1 version of 1.65.0. It uses to crash very often, and the writing speeds are low. I think it is because of development, and it isn't in stable state.

For testing purposes, I just loaded up K3b 1.65.0alpha1 and it's working pretty well for me with no burning speed issues to report, but I've read elsewhere that lots of users are having plenty of issues with it.
Maybe the K3b devs will get things into gear and bring it out of its alpha state in the near future.oz
