corrupt bzip / bzip2recover works, somewhat
hey there,
i had a database backup that was compressed with bzip2, everthing was working find and great when i tested the backup/compression when i set the job up a while ago, however, when it came time to recover some data i tried extracting the bzip and it gave errors.
so i ran bzip2recover on the file and was left with ~500 chunks. This was ok, but i'm running into an issue with the first and last chunks, saying they are corrupt. i tried running bzip2recover on those individual files but am getting nowhere.
Does anyone know of any method of recovering this file?
Thanks,
shan

Full recovery with bzip2recover isn't guaranteed!
