How did you manage to solve the issue of installing shake in the end?

Installation of shake on ubuntu 7.1
How did you manage to solve the issue of installing shake in the end?

To fix this problem, I uninstalled Ubuntu, destroyed the disc, and installed Shake on Windows instead. I then sacrificed a goat on an altar swearing that I would never go near the abomination that was Linux ever again. That seemed to do the trick...

thats harsh
would have been easier just to pay someone to do the install.
I agree its not a laymans job but I intend to fix it even if I have to pay, that way I can watch over his shoulder and learn what hes doing.
Do you know how much one would charge for such a job?
