Malware/spyware scan & removal software
Can anyone tell me if there is any malware/spyware scan and removal software that I can run in Linux please.
I want to be able to scan a hard drive with Windows installed that is suspected of being full of malware/spyware and viruses in a safe environment. When I try the scan on another windows PC that Pc seems to get infected too.
Is it also possible to create a bootable USB Pen with knoppix or something similar on and run the scan from that using the existing hardware of the infected PC.
Hope this makes sense

- I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
I use ClamAV to do that. I plug the Windows disc into a USB enclosure, mount it in Linux, and then scan the drive with ClamAV. There are other, possibly better, Linux scanners, but ClamAV has generally worked ok for me.Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
