wget problems

currently i am using RH 8.0 and want download Linux iso from my office and i have login account at this server but when i use this app it won't download any files ?

$wget ftp://server.somewhere-linuxiso.org/pub/iso/linux-1.iso &
this only samples.

i have read some articles about wget at LG but it won't help and is there any difference about HTTP and FTP Protocol

what do you mean it only "samples" it? does it just tell you what it would have downloaded?

what i meant with samples is the site (this is site not real)
once time i've succeed with this wget app but now i can't download linux iso file with wget

of course after checking host, and file afterall i see the progress but now it won't

any suggestions ?
