    What do you mean? Linux is a multi-tasking operating system. You can do many things at the same time. You can work on as many applications at a time as you have available memory to run them. My system has 250+ processes running right now, including Firefox, VLC (streaming internet radio), a news aggregator (klibido), several console/terminal windows, Windows XP in a virtual machine, and more.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

    I'm not sure I understand, what do you mean?

    Linux is a multi-user system. As long as u have RAM you can have as many applications / processes as you wish
