Doing install of festival on Slackware 13.0. Made changes recommended in [festival-talk] Re: Building festival-1.96 beta on Slackware Linux 12.0
but when ran ./config --prefix=/usr/local/speech-tools-1.2.96-beta gcc gets an error: unrecognized command line option "-fno-shared-data"
Checked google found that in Debian they "removed command line option "-fno-shared-data" ".
I cannot find where gcc is called to remove it to test if that would work.
Has anyone experienced this bug when compiling for Slackware and gotten a solution?
Will removal of -fno-shared-data option cause other errors??
