Searching mbox file
Hi all,
I have an interesting problem here. My boss uses the Evolution email client. We need to be able to search the in box file for a specific IP address or a message that was sent sometime ago. My understanding is, Evolution uses the standard "mbox" format to store all the emails. Is there anyway of searching that huge (in this case) file for the text string (IP address) we are looking for??
Thank you,
Brian

Sure. It is just a text file. You should be able to simply use grep to search it.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
