    Hi there,

    I found thefunction on postfixadmin and it was assigned like this:

    $CONF['encrypt'] = 'md5crypt';
    I even tried with all types authlib and cleartext and it didn't work.

    Thanks.

    Hi scatchfire,

    I don't know if you mean what's in the table of database

    I've got maildb created and working with the following site:
    These are the tables.

    * Structure admin
    * Structure alias
    * Structure aliases
    * Structure alias_domain
    * Structure config
    * Structure domain
    * Structure domains
    * Structure domain_admins
    * Structure fetchmail
    * Structure log
    * Structure mailbox
    * Structure users
    * Structure vacation
    * Structure vacation_notification

    Then I've got postfix database and these are the tables created :

    * Structure admin
    * Structure alias
    * Structure alias_domain
    * Structure config
    * Structure domain
    * Structure domain_admins
    * Structure fetchmail
    * Structure log
    * Structure mailbox
    * Structure vacation
    * Structure vacation_notification

    my mysql log presents this:

    276 Query SHOW TABLES FROM `postfix`
    276 Query SHOW TABLE STATUS FROM `postfix`
    276 Query SELECT DEFAULT_COLLATION_NAME FROM information_schema.SCHEMATA WHERE SCHEMA_NAME = 'postfix' LIMIT 1
    276 Query SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `postfix`.`vacation`
    276 Query SELECT COUNT(*) FROM `postfix`.`vacation_notification`
    276 Query SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'storage_engine'
    276 Query SELECT SPECIFIC_NAME,ROUTINE_NAME,ROUTINE_TYPE,DTD_IDENTI FIER FROM information_schema.ROUTINES WHERE ROUTINE_SCHEMA= 'postfix'
    276 Query SELECT EVENT_NAME, EVENT_TYPE FROM information_schema.EVENTS WHERE EVENT_SCHEMA= 'postfix'
    275 Quit
    276 Quit

    The I would like to use database postfix with maildb data.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks

    i meant like:

    Code:
    select * from table_name;
    that will show you the data inside the database. the data is stored in fields, which populate columns, which ultimately make tables. One of those tables should have a field called 'password'. Depending on what type of data is in there will determine how squirrelmail should try to decrypt the passwords.

    Hi there,

    Once again thanks

    what it says from the select goes like this on postfix

    Use postfix;
    select * from mailbox;

    +--------------------------------+------------------------------------+---------------+---------------------------------+-------+---------------+------------------+---------------------+---------------------+--------+
    | username | password | name | maildir | quota | local_part | domain | created | modified | active |
    +--------------------------------+------------------------------------+---------------+---------------------------------+-------+---------------+------------------+---------------------+---------------------+--------+
    | user1@example.pt | $1$c82002dc$mOi7aaP2UsiwabntoSTdh/ | user1 | user1@exmaple.pt/ | 0 | user1 | example.pt | 2010-02-22 23:34:43 | 2010-02-22 23:34:43 | 1 |
    | user2@example.pt | $1$34d56184$4xVyXXKqYhbV6wlupzJ4.1 | user2 | user2@example.pt/ | 0 | user2 | example.pt | 2010-02-22 23:35:04 | 2010-02-22 23:35:04 | 1 |
    +--------------------------------+------------------------------------+---------------+---------------------------------+-------+---------------+------------------+---------------------+---------------------+--------+

    using maildb the result become like this:

    Use maildb;
    select * from user;

    +--------------------------------+---------------+------+------+-------------------------+----------------+---------+-----------------+----------+-------------------------------------------+-------+------------+----------------+
    | id | name | uid | gid | home | maildir | enabled | change_password | clear | crypt | quota | procmailrc | spamassassinrc |
    +--------------------------------+---------------+------+------+-------------------------+----------------+---------+-----------------+----------+-------------------------------------------+-------+------------+----------------+
    | root@localhost | root | 5000 | 5000 | /var/spool/mail/virtual | root/ | 1 | 1 | ChangeMe | SaRQsBZNPeXyw | | | |
    | user1@example.pt | user1 | 5000 | 5000 | /var/spool/mail/virtual | user1/ | 1 | 1 | ChangeMe | ZhCiBh3EhsokM | | | |
    | user2@example.pt | user2 | 5000 | 5000 | /var/spool/mail/virtual | user2/ | 1 | 1 | ChangeMe | ZhDxTxAvCcJHc | | | |
    +--------------------------------+---------------+------+------+-------------------------+----------------+---------+-----------------+----------+-------------------------------------------+-------+------------+----------------+

    I think that's it.

    Hi there,

    After some changes I put the postfixadmin using maildb and using maildb with squirrelmail, but the becomes the problem

    my field maildir on table mailbox uses user1@example.pt

    as path, then I have maildir on mailbox and in the log

    imapd-ssl: Error reading ACLs for INBOX.Sent: No such file or directory
    Feb 25 09:32:25 mail imapd-ssl: Error reading ACLs for INBOX.Sent: No such file or directory
    Feb 26 14:02:57 mail imapd-ssl: user1@example.pt: No such file or directory

    indeed I don't have this directory but when I create the mailbox in the postfixadmin shouldn't this software create the directory on my home directory ?

    Thanks in advanced.

    What to do ?

    HI there,

    After inster user on table users using the following on phpmyadmin

    INSERT INTO users (id,name,maildir,crypt) VALUES ('teste@example.pt','teste','teste/', encrypt('pass1') );# 1 row(s) affected.

    INSERT INTO aliases (mail,destination) VALUES ('teste@example.pt','teste@example.pt');# 1 row(s) affected.
    then on the log after trying to login on squirrelmail I've got this:

    Feb 28 22:32:42 mail authdaemond: Authenticated: sysusername=<null>, sysuserid=5000, sysgroupid=5000, homedir=/var/spool/mail/virtual, address=teste@example.pt, fullname=<null>, maildir=/var/spool/mail/virtual/teste/, quota=<null>, options=<null>
    Feb 28 22:32:42 mail authdaemond: Authenticated: clearpasswd=pass1, passwd=ZrDoV8oo49pvo
    Feb 28 22:32:42 mail imapd-ssl: chdir /var/spool/mail/virtual/teste/: No such file or directory
    Feb 28 22:32:42 mail imapd-ssl: teste@example.pt: No such file or director
    Any Help ?

    I think the problem could be inhere /etc/courier/authmysqlrc

    MYSQL_SERVER localhost
    MYSQL_USERNAME root
    MYSQL_PASSWORD <password>
    MYSQL_PORT 0
    MYSQL_DATABASE maildb
    MYSQL_USER_TABLE users
    MYSQL_CRYPT_PWFIELD crypt
    #MYSQL_CLEAR_PWFIELD password
    MYSQL_UID_FIELD '5000'
    MYSQL_GID_FIELD '5000'
    MYSQL_LOGIN_FIELD id
    #MYSQL_HOME_FIELD '/var/spool/mail/virtual'
    MYSQL_MAILDIR_FIELD concat(home,'/',maildir)
    #MYSQL_MAILDIR_FIELD maildir
    #MYSQL_NAME_FIELD name
    MYSQL_QUOTA_FIELD quota
    #MYSQL_QUOTA_FIELD concat(quota,'S')
    MYSQL_WHERE_CLAUSE enabled=1
    #MYSQL_WHERE_CLAUSE access='y'
    #MYSQL_AUXOPTIONS_FIELD concat('disableimap=',disableimap,',disablepop3=', disablepop3)
