hey all i just finished downloading backtrack 4 and i burnd the .iso file to a cd a boot from my cd and linux starts up just fine now i i wanted to start X whit the command startx but i got the error no screens or devices found,so i start up windows 7 again and dowloaded nvidia linux driver because i have a geforce 310 m series on my laptop now my question is how do i instal this run file for linux grtzzz redblast

on boot up i get the backtrack window whit a few options to start it in 1024*798 frame or 800*600frame ..., than when i choose one option for example 1024*798 frame linux starts up in normal mode simular like dos mode not the windows mode whit desktop and icons

Its not a Graphics Card problem. Either you have installed command line version only or X Server installation has been failed.
I will check backtrack in my machine and let you know.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

i burned the full iso from backtrack-linux.org 1570mb
