I have just downloaded thunderbird, but when i run it fails to start up and i get this instead:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: XDM authorization ...

Thunderbird fails to start
Hi,
I have just downloaded thunderbird, but when i run it fails to start up and i get this instead:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client!
(thunderbird-bin:6016): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
I've tried installing it from an rpm as well but i get the same error when i run it.
I'm running SuSE 9.1, any help would be great, thanks.

Are you running it as the same user that is running X?

I tried the 0.9 version today but that just gives exactly the same error

have you tried installing as root and then running as root, logout and try as your user?
