I am looking for an open source OCR program for Linux (specifically Ubuntu). My computer will be taking pictures with a small camera, and I need those pictures converted into text.

Depending on the text, I will have my computer do different things, but I need something that can convert a picture into a text document.

I am not familiar with the Linux community, but whether it is a standalone program or a library, I do not mind which.
