I have found some duplicate files in my folders. Is there a way to clean them out?

A little more detail would be helpful. Are you talking about just a few files? large numbers of files? You can use the rm command from a terminal or you should be able to right-click the file icon and select delete or Move to Trash. Without more detail...??
