    My problem is the same as the problem stated in the original post. need to add text to readonly content. The document has parts of it that are read only. I need it to be 100% not read only.

    Would it not be possible to give a specific example of the read-only content that you wish to change? What exactly do you need to change? In your first post you give the example:
    Degree level as of Sept 2010
    Do you mean you want to change this? e.g. to "Degree level as of Oct 2010"??? I don't think the grant agency would be too thrilled about your changing their form. I'm sorry but you're really not being clear.

    Sorry, I was surely unclear. Your replies have hurt my feelings in that they seemed unfriendly, impatient, and disinterested, so I am pursuing the answer elsewhere. Nonetheless, thanks for your efforts.
