    Post the contents of the file /etc/resolv.conf here.

    For some reason firefox won't even open anymore, it just loads up for about 1 minute and then goes away, it doesn't even show the window at all.

    After reformatting AGAIN and reinstalling opensuse (which IMO is better then mandriva) it seems to have stopped happening. Thank you once again for all your help.
